Arthritis Treatment the Safe and Natural Way

A message from the our medical review team:

Trying to find a treatment that really works for arthritis can be a daunting task for its millions of sufferers worldwide.   ArthritisMD.com was created to be your online source for arthritis information, including treatment options. Using an extensive network of physicians and researchers, ArthritisMD.com is committed to achieving this goal through unbiased, objective and, where possible, evidence-based articles.  We have noted the difficulty in finding a treatment for arthritis sufferers that works effectively, does not have harmful side effects, is affordable and gets positive results consistently with patients.  ArthritisMD.com welcomes and encourages companies who believe strongly in their arthritis treatment product(s) to submit their product(s) for unbiased testing at ArthritisMD.com.  We have been pleased to evaluate a topical formula from ReliefMart.com called Therapain Plus that claimed to be a natural spray that can be safely used for arthritis, and appeared to be getting positive feedback from users. We have reviewed the general concerns about using topical analgesics and look for the ability to penetrate well and offer quality ingredients that have been tested safe and effective with the FDA.  One such ingredient is Menthol.  Menthol can be synthetic or natural, but natural has been shown to have better absorption.  The level of Menthol concentrations do not always determine how well a formula works, as the formula will also need to penetrate well for the Menthol work effectively.  Therapain Plus uses natural menthol and is registered with the FDA.  When spraying Therapain Plus to various areas of the body, we were able to note that Therapain Plus did indeed absorb readily into the skin and left no greasy residual.  Therapain Plus is currently undergoing clinical studies and it is our intention to post the results of these studies in the near future.

We do need to mention that we do not endorse Therapain Plus or any other product. We also think it is important to add a disclaimer that each treatment should be assessed based on individual needs as recommended by your personal physician. However, we do believe that high quality topical sprays are an excellent alternative for pain relief for aches and pains, including those from arthritis. It is also important to note that an added benefit of safe, natural sprays is that they don't carry the same potentially dangerous side effects of some of the over-the-counter oral medications, but ultimately it is between you and your physician to determine the proper course of treatment for your Arthritic condition.
